TVAC’s Distinction Event : A Great Success!
On June 17, 18 and 19 of 2016, TVAC held its national DISTINCTION 2016 event at the Hilton Lac Leamy Hotel in Gatineau, Quebec, steps away from Ottawa. More than fifty of our members were present, along with their relatives and many of our partners, all gathered in joy and magic.
A intimate show was given on Friday night by signer Emmanuelle Robitaille, collective artwork was created by TVAC’s members and offered to our partners as a souvenir and thank you gift. Numerous conferences and activities took place, including a picnic in the memory of Arthur G. Raynes.
During the gala evening, a video to commemorate Canadian thalidomide victims who had passed away was presented, accompanied by Rebecca’s beautiful soprano voice.
Of course, a resounding tribute was presented to the members of the TaskForce, as well as to all the experts who supported the “Right the Wrong” campaign. To this end, a surprise video summarizing the different stages of the campaign, in which members of the TaskForce appear, was presented during the gala evening as a recognition of the work they have accomplished.
The whole event was rejoicing and punctuated with many surprises.
